User Training 2017

The Brandenburger Liner User Training on 26/27 January 2017 was a complete success. There war a larger registered attendance than ever before. More than 100 visitors enjoyed a programme on a wide variety of topics.

The programme included reports on construction sites that presented particular challenges to installation crews and Brandenburger application engineers, such as the installation of

96 tonnes of liner within ten days, on a sewer length of 620 meters of DN 1350 diameter, with 19.6 mm wall thickness, right on the main traffic artery in Helsinki city centre.

Another feature was the presentation of the updated Procedure Manual for the day-to-day work of practitioners, adapted to new developments such as changes in dimension and 90-degree bends. In this context, the smooth transport and proper storage of the liner were also covered.

The highlight for all in attendance was the presentation, in theory and practice, of the new liner winding system that has been in operation since April 2016. This system has been specially designed for large diameters. Jürgen Weiß, the project manager in charge, along with Stefan Blenke, head of production, were able to create quite an amazement with some of the visitors.

The two-day event was skilfully hosted by Wendelin Böhne (Brandenburger Liner Sales), which facilitated quite a few lively exchanges with the participants.

The experts’ forum was rounded off by the evening event that has by now become popular beyond national frontiers.

Members of the Brandenburger Liner team were proud and impressed by the great response, and would like to extend their thanks to all participants of the 2017 User Training.
